Timeless, pure and naturally honey scented...these candles were born from a love of honey bees, beeswax, and days-gone-by...and maybe just a pinch of serendipity!
Circa Candles replicates vintage bottles that are found, polished with love, and given a second life. They re-create an aesthetic that takes you back to a simpler time – a time when our grandparents and great grandparents had milk and honey bottles in their kitchens, ornate perfume bottles in their boudoirs, and ink wells on their desks. With such rich and varied histories, these unique candles always find a comfy and familiar spot to brighten any room of your home!
Each candle is hand-poured using 100% beeswax that is locally sourced from bee keepers following the 100-mile philosophy.
Beeswax is, quite simply, amazing! This beautiful wax is naturally created by honeybees as they build their honeycomb, and is a by-product of honey production. Beeswax burns cleaner, and up to five times longer than any other wax.
Beeswax does not produce toxins when burned. Rather, there is a long held belief that it helps to clean the air by producing negative ions. You might have felt the benefits of negative ions last time you were near a waterfall or on a beach with pounding surf, which produce an abundance.
Negative ions are said to help to freshen and purify the air by causing allergens such as pollen, mold spores, dust, and animal dander floating in the air (which have either a neutral or a positive charge) to be attracted to and stick to each other, forming 'clumps'. These clumps of particles then become heavy enough so that gravity can pull them to the floor, where they can be swept or vacuumed away.
Burning beeswax simply sweetens your home!
